Allie is 5 months old today. I can't believe how quickly time is passing and how much my life has been enriched. Allie is a pure joy. She rarely cries and smiles constantly; and she receives lots of comments about what a good and happy baby she is. I am one proud and happy mama!
In the interest of progress-tracking, here are her 5 month "stats":
length/weight:
- 24.75 in long (almost 50th percentile)
- 12.6 lbs (7th percentile)
eating habits:
- 6 oz bottle 5 times a day
- has endured a few practice sessions with spoon-feeding; but isn't quite ready yet.
sleeping:
- 11 hours a night
- now sleeps unswaddled on her tummy instead of swaddled on her back
- her hands are still her favorite things to chew/suck on
- loves to be sung to
- smiles at anyone who smiles at her
- giggles if you use a funny voice or tickle her
- coos and babbles a lot
- loves to see herself in the mirror
- loves to bounce in the jumperoo or on a lap
milestones:
- rolls from back to tummy and is starting to roll from tummy to back
- teething intermittently
- starting to reach out and try to grab things
- can sit up assisted with steady head
- can support her weight for a long time while standing assisted
