First trip to the pumpkin patch

Allie and I made our first annual pilgrimage to the pumpkin patch this last Saturday.  But before I tell you about that, I just need to say:  I love stuff like this.  I've always relished opportunities to experience holidays like Halloween, Christmas, and Easter through a child's eyes.  Now that I'm going to have the opportunity to do that with my own child, I could just almost cry!  On one hand, I don't want Allie to grow up ANY MORE because she's already grown up too fast; but on the other, I can't wait until she's old enough to go trick-or-treating, get excited about Santa, and participate in Easter egg hunts!

But back to the pumpkin patch trip..... Admittedly, this year's trip was all for myself and Grammy and not as much for Allie since she's too young to appreciate it; but that's OK because look at all the adorable pictures we got!

In addition to being thrilled that Grammy agreed to join us, I was also very thankful because I realized very quickly that photographing an infant in this scenario is definitely a 3-person job!  Grammy was so, so helpful.  In this photo where Allie is laughing, Grammy was standing behind me, bent over with head upside-down, shaking her head and making her hair fly around wildly.  Allie thought it was hilarious -- and I'm sure all the other folks at the pumpkin patch did too.  I only wish I had thought to turn around and grab a shot of Grammy in action.  (Thank you, Grammy, for having no shame!)

Grammy also took some pictures of Allie and me.  I am thankful for that too, because I don't have enough pictures of the two of us.
