Meanwhile, here are a few photos of Allie before and during a western-themed "Birthday Roundup" party we attended this past weekend.
The family who hosted the party had a bounce house, a big swingset, and several outdoor riding toys. Allie went nuts running from one thing to the next and never stayed in one place for long. She didn't want to miss out on a thing.
I was hoping she would play in the bounce house for a while because it was nice and enclosed and padded and safe and away from the street, thus potentially allowing me to actually relax for a minute and maybe talk to someone without having to corrall her away from the street, spot her while she climbed all over the swingset, or deter her from eating/drinking from the various plates of leftover food that were laid about by other parents chasing their own kids around. It was not to be though. She hopped in the bounce house for about 10 seconds -- then it was back to the chase for me. How is it that I'm not rail thin?
